San Marino (31.1 p.c): If you can’t pinpoint the tiny republic of San Marino on a map, you’re most certainly not alone: The medieval micro-state sits in northern Italy, on a cluster of mountain peaks that lead all the way down to the Adriatic city of Rimini. (Driving there from Florence is a straight, three-hour, eastward journey.) In 2017, San Marino claimed greater than two visitors for each of its 33,000 residents, notching 78,000 arrivals in complete. It’s not slightly so much, but for a micro-state that is just 24 sq. miles, it is nothing to sneeze at, either.
Along with climbing and exploring empty coastal roads and deserted seashores, there are some wonderful wildlife-watching alternate options throughout the islands of Con Dao. Many of the land area is a part of Con Dao Nationwide Park, which protects Vietnam’s most vital sea turtle nesting grounds.
